It features two cores and four threads via Hyper-Threading, accompanied by 3 MB of Level 3 Cache. The maximum memory bandwidth is higher at 38 GB/s, and it also supports PCIe 3.0. The Intel Core i3-7100 is characterized by its significantly lower TDP of 51W, which means higher energy efficiency.

In single-core performance, it is slightly superior in some benchmarks. It is well suited for basic office work, web browsing, and as an economical HTPC. Its integrated graphics unit is the Intel HD Graphics 630.
