The Intel Core i3-10100Y, introduced around Q3 2020, is based on the Comet Lake S architecture and manufactured using the 14 nm process.

It is designed for ultra-low power consumption and is used in thin clients or fanless systems. This processor features 2 cores and 4 threads, with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 615 and 4 MB of Level 3 cache with 30 GB/s memory bandwidth. Its single-core performance is lower than that of the N200.

In multi-core tasks, it can show comparable performance to the N200 in an older benchmark but is significantly outperformed in modern benchmarks. It is not suitable for gaming due to its very basic graphics unit. The Intel Processor N200, on the market since Q1 2023, utilizes the newer Alder Lake N architecture and is manufactured using the more efficient 10 nm process (Intel 7).

It targets energy-efficient mobile and embedded systems. Equipped with 4 efficiency cores and 4 threads, it offers significant superiority over the Intel Core i3-10100Y in both single-core and multi-core performance (especially in modern benchmarks). Its integrated Intel UHD Graphics with 32 EUs (Alder Lake) is more powerful than that of the Intel Core i3-10100Y, but also only suitable for very light games.

It offers 4 MB of Level 2 cache, 6 MB of Level 3 cache, and a memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s. Both CPUs are designed for very low Thermal Design Power (TDP) and enable fanless designs. The Intel Processor N200 offers a better price-performance ratio for current applications due to its more modern architecture and higher performance per watt.
