Intel Core2 Duo E7400 vs Intel Processor N100

It utilizes the 10 nm Alder Lake N architecture with 4 efficiency cores, 4 threads, 4 MB of Level 2, and 6 MB of Level 3 cache. The single- and multi-core performance of the Intel Processor N100 significantly surpasses that of the Intel Core2 Duo E7400. Modern applications greatly benefit from the N100's efficiency.

For gaming, the Core2 Duo E7400 is unsuitable without integrated graphics. The N100 integrates Intel UHD Graphics with 24 EUs, which is sufficient for videos and simple games. Demanding gaming is not possible. The maximum memory bandwidth is 38 GB/s. The older Core2 Duo E7400 has higher power consumption.

The Intel Processor N100, thanks to its 10 nm manufacturing process, is extremely energy-efficient, enabling low consumption and quiet cooling. The Core2 Duo E7400 has no market value today. The Intel Processor N100 offers excellent value for money for office, web, and streaming, where low power consumption and compactness are priorities.
