Intel Celeron N4020 vs Intel Celeron N5095

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N4020, introduced based on the Gemini Lake architecture, is designed for use in energy-efficient systems such as mini-PCs and is aimed at users for basic tasks.

It is manufactured using the 14nm process and features 2 cores and 2 threads. With 4 MB L3 cache and a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s, powered by an Intel UHD Graphics 600, it offers basic performance. Its PCIe 2.0 support is sufficient for simple expansions. In benchmarks, the Intel Celeron N5095 shows significantly over 10 percent higher single-core and multi-core performance, which destines the Intel Celeron N4020 for very undemanding usage scenarios.

The Intel Celeron N5095, a processor of the Jasper Lake architecture, targets the entry-level segment with improved performance. Manufactured using the more modern 10nm process, it offers 4 cores and 4 threads, as well as 2 MB L2 cache and 4 MB L3 cache. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Jasper Lake) with a higher maximum memory bandwidth of 47 GB/s and PCIe 3.0 enables noticeably better graphics performance, ideal for media playback and very light gaming.

In both single-core and multi-core performance, it significantly outperforms the Intel Celeron N4020. This makes the Intel Celeron N5095 the superior choice for everyday applications and light multitasking, while maintaining good energy efficiency.
