Intel Celeron N4000C vs Intel Celeron N4500

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N4500, released in early 2021, is based on the Jasper Lake architecture and is manufactured using a 10 nm process.

This processor is aimed at users who perform simple office tasks or web browsing on compact desktop computers. With two cores and two threads, it provides a practical basis for everyday programs. In relevant benchmarks, the Intel Celeron N4500 achieves significantly higher performance than the comparison model, which is noticeable in both single-core and multi-core performance.

With a Level 2 cache of 2 MB and a Level 3 cache of 4 MB, it offers efficient data processing. In gaming scenarios, it performs better due to the architecture of the Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Jasper Lake). The low Thermal Design Power ensures efficient cooling. The model offers a better performance-to-cost ratio for simple basic systems.

The Intel Celeron N4000C, introduced at the end of 2017, uses the Gemini Lake architecture and is manufactured in a 14 nm process.

It is designed for entry-level systems where basic digital functions are the priority. The processor has two cores and two threads and reliably handles simple tasks such as word processing. In direct comparisons, the Intel Celeron N4000C lags measurably behind the comparison model in computing capacity.

While the Level 3 cache is 4 MB, this model does not have a Level 2 cache. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 is designed for simple visual representations, but does not provide sufficient capacity for games and is clearly inferior to the alternative graphics solution. Thanks to the low Thermal Design Power, power consumption is low, which often allows for silent cooling.

This processor is an option for inexpensive solutions with minimal requirements.
