Intel Celeron N3010 vs Intel Processor N100

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron N3010, based on the Braswell architecture, is a processor introduced in 2015 for energy-efficient systems with very low power requirements.

Manufactured using a 14 nm fabrication process, it features two processing cores and two threads. It has no Level-2 cache but 2 MB of Level-3 cache. The integrated graphics unit is the Intel HD Graphics 400. Its processing performance is limited to basic tasks such as word processing and simple browsing, in both single- and multi-core applications.

The graphics performance is only sufficient for very undemanding or old titles at minimal settings. It is characterized by very low power consumption. The Intel Processor N100, with the modern Alder Lake N architecture, was introduced in 2023 and targets current, energy-efficient systems with improved everyday performance.

It is manufactured using a more advanced 10 nm fabrication process and has four efficient processing cores with four threads. This processor features 4 MB of Level-2 cache and 6 MB of Level-3 cache. The integrated graphics solution is the Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake). The Intel Processor N100 offers significantly higher single-core and multi-core performance than the Intel Celeron N3010, enabling a smoother user experience.

Its graphics performance is noticeably better than that of the Intel Celeron N3010 but remains limited to casual games. The Intel Processor N100 is energy-efficient and offers a better performance-per-euro ratio. For minimalist requirements such as kiosk systems or very simple office work, the Intel Celeron N3010 is an extremely cost-effective option.

The Intel Processor N100 is the modern choice for affordable mini-PCs or thin clients requiring basic productivity and media playback, offering a significantly better user experience for current software.
