Intel Celeron J6412 vs Intel Processor U300L

Last updated:
The Intel Celeron J6412, based on the Elkhart Lake architecture and manufactured using the 10 nm process, was introduced in late 2020 / early 2021.

It is aimed at energy-efficient, cost-effective systems such as thin clients and NAS. The processor features four cores and four threads, 2 MB L2 cache, and supports PCIe 3.0. Its Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Elkhart Lake) and 60 GB/s memory bandwidth are designed for basic tasks. With a TDP of 10 watts, it enables fanless operation and offers good value for money for minimal requirements.

The Intel Processor U300L, a newer development of the Raptor Lake U architecture, is also manufactured using the 10 nm process and targets compact desktops with improved performance.

It uses a hybrid core design with five cores (typically one performance core and four efficiency cores) and six threads, equipped with 6 MB L2 cache and 8 MB L3 cache. The more powerful Intel UHD Graphics 13th Gen (48 EU) and 83 GB/s memory bandwidth significantly outperform the Celeron J6412. With a typical TDP of 15 watts, it offers higher single and multi-core performance as well as better system responsiveness.

Performance Comparison and Recommendation: The Intel Processor U300L offers significantly higher computing and graphics performance for smoother multitasking and more responsive systems, ideal for an improved experience in everyday tasks. The Intel Celeron J6412 scores with very low power consumption and fanless, cost-effective solutions, optimal for systems with minimal requirements or where power consumption is a priority.
