AMD Ryzen 3 4300U vs Intel Processor N200

Last updated:
The AMD Ryzen 3 4300U is a mobile processor released by AMD in 2020, based on the 7 nm Renoir architecture (Zen 2).

It is aimed at energy-efficient notebooks and compact systems. With 4 cores and 4 threads, 2 MB L2 and 4 MB L3 cache, it offers a solid foundation. In single-core performance, it shows a noticeable advantage, especially in Cinebench R23. Its AMD Radeon RX Vega 5 (Renoir) graphics unit is more powerful than its competitor's with 51 GB/s memory bandwidth, making it suitable for light gaming.

It has a higher TDP, which requires more cooling. As an older chip, it offers a good price-performance ratio for general tasks in existing devices. The Intel Processor N200 is an Intel processor introduced in 2023, based on the Alder Lake N architecture, manufactured using the 10 nm process (Intel 7).

It is designed for the entry-level segment and very low power consumption. It features 4 cores and 4 threads (Gracemont architecture) with 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache. In multi-core performance, it can show a slight advantage, as shown by Geekbench 6. Its Intel UHD Graphics 32 EUs (Alder Lake) are primarily designed for basic graphics output and are less suitable for gaming with 38 GB/s memory bandwidth.

Its extremely low TDP makes it ideal for fanless systems and long battery life, which contributes to its attractive price-performance ratio in new entry-level devices.
