AMD Ryzen 3 3250C vs Intel Processor N100

Last updated:
The AMD Ryzen 3 3250C is based on the Picasso architecture and is manufactured using a 12 nm process. This processor is primarily aimed at users of Chromebooks and basic laptops.

It is equipped with two cores and four threads. In terms of computing power, this model shows a baseline performance in common tests that is sufficient for everyday tasks, but significantly lower than that of its Intel counterpart. The integrated graphics solution AMD Radeon RX Vega 3 (Raven Ridge) provides a solid foundation for video playback, but is hardly suitable for gaming.

With a thermal design power of 15 watts, the system is designed for moderate energy consumption. The AMD Ryzen 3 3250C represents a cost-effective option for basic applications where high multitasking performance is not required. The Intel Processor N100 belongs to the Alder Lake N series and uses the 10 nm manufacturing process.

It is designed for use in fanless mini-PCs and efficient notebooks. With four cores and four threads, this processor offers significantly higher computing power than its AMD competitor, which is particularly noticeable in single-core and multi-core performance. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) handles standard graphic tasks reliably, but is not intended for demanding games.

A major advantage is the low TDP of only 6 watts, which allows for high energy efficiency. Due to the more advanced architecture and better efficiency, the Intel Processor N100 offers an attractive package for compact, silent systems and everyday office work.
