In single-core performance, the AMD FX-8300 significantly outperforms the AMD FX-4300, which has a positive effect on system speed. With a Level 3 cache of 8 MB, it offers additional reserves.

In gaming scenarios, the higher core count ensures more stable frame rates as more resources are available. Despite the double core count, the thermal design power remains identical at 95 watts, which means a more efficient use of energy. For users who occasionally edit videos or work in parallel, the AMD FX-8300 is the better choice on the used market.
