AMD E-450 vs Intel Processor N100

Last updated:
The AMD E-450 is based on the Zacate architecture and was designed for entry-level mobile devices.

Manufactured using the 32 nm process, this processor has two cores and offers a maximum memory bandwidth of 11 GB/s. The technical specifications include a 1 MB L3 cache and the integrated AMD Radeon HD 6320 graphics unit. In technical benchmarks, the processing unit shows limited performance, with both single-core and multi-core results lagging significantly behind later standards.

With a thermal design power of 18 watts, the energy requirement is quite high in relation to the computing power. The integrated graphics are primarily suitable for displaying simple user interfaces, while the performance is hardly sufficient for games. Since the model is technically outdated, it is mainly used in older systems.

The Intel Processor N100 uses the Alder Lake N architecture and is designed for energy-efficient, compact computers.

Through the 10 nm manufacturing process, it achieves high efficiency with a thermal design power of only 6 watts. With four cores, a 6 MB L3 cache, and a 4 MB L2 cache, it significantly outperforms older architectures in all benchmarks. The single-core performance and multi-core performance are massively higher than the values of the comparison model.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) allows for smooth media playback and simple casual games. Thanks to a memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s, the CPU is well-equipped for everyday tasks. The Intel Processor N100 offers adequate performance for budget systems and is recommended for office work and general media consumption.
