The Intel Core i7-4860HQ, a processor from the then Haswell H architecture, was found in demanding notebooks. It was manufactured using the advanced 22nm process. This ensured a good mix of performance and energy efficiency. What really set this chip apart for us was its integrated graphics unit.

The Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5200 delivered surprisingly high graphics performance for onboard solutions. We could see that it was well-suited for multimedia tasks and even the occasional game. With 6 MB Level 3 Cache, there was also a decent buffer memory on board. This noticeably supported data processing.

This mobile processor proved to be very reliable in its generation. It enabled the notebooks on which it was based to deliver solid overall performance for various applications. This allowed many tasks to be mastered confidently. It was a well-thought-out solution that Intel provided here for mobile use.
