The AMD EPYC 7401P is a server processor based on the Naples architecture. This chip, manufactured using the 14 nm process, offered a truly remarkable configuration for demanding server tasks at the time. It featured 24 physical cores and 48 threads, a configuration that provided a very solid computing base for many parallel workloads.

One of its greatest strengths was certainly the generous 64 MB Level 3 cache. This remains extremely useful for applications with high data access, such as in the database area. In addition, the processor supported a maximum memory bandwidth of 154 GB/s. This enabled fast data throughput, especially in memory-intensive operations.

The AMD EPYC 7401P proved to be a highly reliable option for environments that require consistent, high performance. We still see this type of processor in various setups today, where its core count or fast memory throughput are crucial.
