The Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4, introduced in 2016 and based on the 14 nm Broadwell E architecture, was designed for high-end servers and workstations.

In benchmarks, it shows outstanding multi-core performance, while its single-core performance varies depending on the test. In the used market, it offers a strong price/performance ratio for multi-thread applications. The Intel Processor N97, a 10 nm Alder Lake N architecture chip released in 2023, targets energy-efficient and cost-effective systems such as mini PCs.

It features 4 cores, 4 threads, 4 MB Level 2 and 6 MB Level 3 Cache, as well as PCIe 3.0 and 38 GB/s memory bandwidth. It integrates Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake) and is characterized by a very low TDP and low power consumption. Its single-core performance is higher in some tests, and lower in others, compared to the Xeon.

Multi-core performance is sufficient for basic tasks. It is ideal for quiet, compact everyday and media systems.
