Intel Processor N97 vs Intel Processor N95

Last updated:
The Intel Processor N97 and Intel Processor N95 are energy-efficient processors based on the Intel Alder Lake N architecture, manufactured using the 10 nm process.

They are designed for basic computing tasks in mini-PCs, thin clients, or affordable notebooks, with a focus on high energy efficiency for everyday applications. In terms of CPU performance, both processors show very comparable performance in single-core and multi-core benchmarks. The differences are consistently below the relevant 10 percent threshold, indicating nearly identical application performance for typical office applications, web browsing, and media playback.

Neither is optimized for gaming. The Intel Processor N97 features Intel UHD Graphics with 24 Execution Units (EUs), while the Intel Processor N95 offers Intel UHD Graphics with 16 EUs. The higher EU count of the Intel Processor N97 allows for slightly improved graphics performance for very simple or older titles.

Both have a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s. Both CPUs are characterized by low power consumption, ideal for passive cooling concepts and fanless devices. This ensures quiet and efficient operation. As entry-level segment processors, they offer good value for money. The Intel Processor N97 offers a marginal advantage due to its slightly more powerful graphics unit.
