Intel Processor N100 vs Intel Core 3 processor 100U

The N100 is designed for energy-efficient, cost-effective systems, while the Core 3 100U offers more balanced performance for everyday tasks. The Intel Processor N100 has 4 efficiency cores and 4 threads, 4 MB L2 cache and 6 MB L3 cache, with 38 GB/s memory bandwidth. The Intel Core 3 processor 100U, on the other hand, integrates performance and efficiency cores, resulting in 8 threads, has 10 MB L2 cache, and a higher memory bandwidth of 83 GB/s.

In terms of performance, the Intel Core 3 processor 100U significantly outperforms the N100 in single and multi-core scenarios, thanks to more powerful cores and more threads. For gaming, the Core 3 100U with its Intel Iris Xe Graphics 64 (Alder Lake) is clearly superior, in contrast to the N100's Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake), which is only sufficient for basic requirements.

The Intel Processor N100 is optimized for extremely low power consumption and offers an excellent price-performance ratio for simple office work and media consumption. The Intel Core 3 processor 100U, despite tending to have higher power consumption under load, delivers noticeably more overall performance for multitasking, more productive work, and casual gaming for a slightly higher price.
