Intel Pentium Silver N6000 vs Intel Processor N200

Last updated:
The Intel Pentium Silver N6000 (Jasper Lake architecture) and the Intel Processor N200 (Alder Lake N architecture) are designed for energy-efficient, everyday computing.

They target low-end laptops, mini-PCs, and embedded systems for basic tasks. The Intel Pentium Silver N6000 is manufactured in 10 nm, has four cores, four threads, 2 MB L2 and 4 MB L3 cache. The Intel Processor N200, also in 10 nm (newer generation), offers four cores, four threads with larger 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 caches.

The Intel Processor N200 significantly outperforms the Intel Pentium Silver N6000 in single-core performance, with over 10 percent higher values in Geekbench 6 and Cinebench R23. In multi-core performance in Geekbench 6, the Intel Processor N200 is also considerably more powerful.

In Cinebench R23 multi-core, the difference is under 10 percent. The Intel Processor N200 thus offers noticeably improved computing performance. Both CPUs integrate Intel UHD Graphics with 32 EUs and are suitable for light gaming and media playback, but not for demanding titles. Their low Thermal Design Power (TDP) and low power consumption enable fanless operation.

The Intel Processor N200 offers better value for money thanks to its more modern architecture and higher computing performance. For most users seeking a more responsive experience in everyday tasks, the Intel Processor N200 is the better choice. The Intel Pentium Silver N6000 remains an option for the most cost-effective and basic applications.
