The Intel Pentium Silver N5000 (Gemini Lake), manufactured using a 14 nm process, is an energy-efficient quad-core processor with 4 MB L3 cache and 38 GB/s memory bandwidth for entry-level devices.

The newer Intel Processor N200 (Alder Lake N) utilizes the more advanced 10 nm process, also with four cores, but with 4 MB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache at the same memory bandwidth, aiming for improved performance with high efficiency.

The Intel Processor N200 significantly outperforms the N5000 in single-core and multi-core tests (> 10 percent), leading to a more responsive user experience. The N5000 shows no usable results in some multi-core tests. Both are unsuitable for demanding games. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 32 EUs (Alder Lake) of the N200 offers better performance for casual games and videos due to its more modern architecture than the Intel UHD Graphics 605 of the N5000.

Both CPUs are energy-efficient and suitable for fanless systems. Thanks to its 10 nm manufacturing process, the N200 achieves higher performance with lower power consumption. It offers a superior price-performance ratio compared to the older N5000 in budget devices. The N5000 is for minimal requirements and extremely price-conscious buyers.

For most users who need a more responsive system for everyday tasks, the N200 is the clear recommendation due to its superior overall performance.
