Intel Pentium G4560 vs Intel Celeron N5095A

Last updated:
The Intel Pentium G4560 is based on the Kaby Lake S architecture and serves the budget desktop market.

Manufactured using a 14-nanometer process, this processor features two cores and four threads. In tests, it shows higher single-core performance as well as stronger multi-core performance compared to the competing model. With integrated Intel HD Graphics 610, it handles basic visual tasks but is hardly suitable for demanding games.

Nevertheless, it offers better performance in games than the comparison model due to higher computing power. The maximum memory bandwidth is 38 GB/s, while the Level 2 cache is 1 MB and the Level 3 cache is 3 MB. With a Thermal Design Power of 54 watts, heat dissipation is moderate and requires active cooling.

Expansion cards can be connected via PCIe 3.0. The Intel Pentium G4560 remains a reliable choice for office work. The Intel Celeron N5095A belongs to the Jasper Lake family and is designed for low-power systems and mini PCs.

It is manufactured using a 10-nanometer process and includes four physical cores. Despite the higher number of cores, the overall computing power in benchmark scenarios often lags behind the comparison model. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 16 EUs (Jasper Lake) handles graphics output but is not intended for demanding gaming.

It benefits from a higher memory bandwidth of 47 GB/s, a 2 MB Level 2 cache, and a 4 MB Level 3 cache. With a Thermal Design Power of only 15 watts, the Intel Celeron N5095A operates very energy-efficiently and is suitable for silent, fanless enclosures. It offers a balanced energy consumption ratio for media playback or simple server tasks in home networks.

It is the preferred choice for users who value minimal power consumption.
