The Intel Core i5-4250U, based on the Haswell U-architecture, was designed for energy-efficient ultrabooks and mobile devices.

It is manufactured using a 22 nm fabrication process and features two cores with four threads. The processor is equipped with 3 MB of Level 3 Cache. The integrated graphics unit is the Intel HD Graphics 5000, with a maximum memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s and PCIe 2.0. Its computing power is sufficient for basic tasks in older, power-saving systems.

The Intel Processor N150 is a significantly newer processor based on the Twin Lake architecture, intended for entry-level desktops, mini-PCs, and embedded systems.

It is manufactured using a more advanced 7 nm fabrication process and offers six cores with six threads. This processor features 4 MB of Level 2 Cache and 6 MB of Level 3 Cache. The integrated graphics unit, Intel UHD Graphics 24 EUs (Alder Lake), provides a higher maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s and utilizes PCIe 3.0.

Its computing power is significantly better for modern applications and multitasking. In a direct comparison, the Intel Processor N150 surpasses the Intel Core i5-4250U in single- and multi-core tasks by over 60 and 100 percent, respectively. The newer Intel UHD Graphics of the N150 is also superior in gaming scenarios for very light games.

The N150's 7 nm fabrication process ensures better energy efficiency and a more advantageous price-performance ratio. For modern systems and improved performance, the Intel Processor N150 is the clear recommendation; the Intel Core i5-4250U is only relevant for very simple, used systems.
