The Intel Core i5-3210M, introduced in the second quarter of 2012, was primarily designed for use in mainstream laptops.

It is based on the Ivy Bridge H architecture and is manufactured using the 22 nm process. This processor features two cores and four threads thanks to Hyper-Threading, which enables solid performance in certain multi-core applications, surpassing that of the Celeron J4125 in some benchmarks. Its single-core performance is comparable or slightly higher depending on the application.

With 3 MB L3 cache and a maximum memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s, it offers Intel HD Graphics 4000. Its Thermal Design Power (TDP) is 35 Watts, significantly higher than the Celeron J4125, which means greater cooling requirements. Today, it is predominantly found on the used market. The Intel Celeron J4125, released in the fourth quarter of 2019, targets energy-efficient desktop systems and mini-PCs.

Manufactured using the more modern 14 nm process and based on the Gemini Lake architecture, this processor offers four cores and four threads. This gives it improved multi-core performance in some parallelized workloads compared to the i5-3210M. Single-core performance can also be advantageous in certain benchmarks.

It features 4 MB L3 cache, 38 GB/s memory bandwidth, and Intel UHD Graphics 600. With PCIe Version 2.0 and a low TDP of 10 Watts, it is ideal for economical systems that require less cooling than the i5-3210M. Both processors are only conditionally suitable for gaming.
