The Intel Core i5-1035G1 is based on the Ice Lake U architecture and is manufactured by Intel using the 10-nanometer process.

This processor is primarily aimed at users of compact laptops for everyday office tasks. It offers four cores and eight threads, as well as a 6 MB Level 3 cache. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics (Ice Lake G1) handles the graphics output. In benchmarks, the processor shows solid performance for standard tasks, but lags significantly behind the comparison model in single-core and multi-core performance.

The maximum memory bandwidth is 60 GB/s. Due to its thermal design, it is suitable for thin devices but quickly reaches its technical limits in graphics-intensive applications or demanding games. The Apple A18 Pro uses the Donan architecture and is manufactured in the advanced 3-nanometer process.

It is designed for mobile end devices and has six cores. With a Level 2 cache of 20 MB and a Level 3 cache of 24 MB, it offers high data availability. The integrated Apple A18 Pro graphics unit with six cores ensures high graphical performance. In tests, this processor achieves significantly higher single-core and multi-core performance than the Intel model.

The memory bandwidth is also 60 GB/s. Thanks to efficient manufacturing, the chip achieves high energy efficiency with simultaneous high computing power, making it ideal for demanding mobile applications and games. In terms of price-performance ratio, the Intel Core i5-1035G1 is mostly found in affordable entry-level devices.

The Apple A18 Pro is part of expensive premium hardware. For simple office work, the Intel model is sufficient, while the Apple chip is recommended for maximum performance.
