It uses an eight-core configuration that achieves higher multi-core performance compared to the Intel Core i3-540. The integrated ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics unit is optimized for mobile applications and media playback, but reaches its limits with demanding desktop games.

Since it is a mobile processor, the focus is on low power consumption and minimal heat generation, which often enables fanless housing designs. The price-performance ratio is advantageous for low-cost notebooks, as system costs remain low. The MediaTek Kompanio 500 is the better choice for mobile productivity and long battery life.
