The Intel Celeron J4125 and the AMD Ryzen Embedded R1600 are two relatively weak entry-level processors that are used in inexpensive notebooks or small computers.

Both processors can be cooled passively and are also suitable for use in difficult environments and 24/7 use. The Intel Celeron J4125 has 4 CPU cores and 4 threads and clocks at 2.0 GHz in the base and up to 2.7 GHz in turbo mode. The AMD Ryzen Embedded R1600 is a dual-core processor whose CPU cores support AMD's "Simultaneous Multi-Threading" and thus have 4 threads.

The processor has an iGPU (Intel UHD Graphics 600), which is, however, very weak and not suitable for computer games. The clock frequency of the AMD Ryzen Embedded R1600 is 2.6 GHz, which the processor can increase to up to 3.1 GHz. This happens dynamically as long as the energy consumption and CPU temperature allow it.

The processor does not have integrated graphics and therefore relies on a dedicated graphics solution. Both processors support DDR4 memory, although the Intel Celeron J4125 officially only supports 8 GB. Unofficially, at least 16 GB is easily possible in most cases. The AMD Ryzen Embedded R1600 supports up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory in two memory channels (dual-channel mode).

This results in a maximum memory bandwidth of 38.4 GB/s. ECC memory can be used in the AMD Ryzen Embedded R1600 if the motherboard supports it. ECC memory has integrated error detection and can detect errors directly and sometimes even correct them. ECC storage usually makes sense in enterprise scenarios and is not needed in private areas.

Both processors are manufactured using a now outdated 14 nm manufacturing process and were both introduced in 2019.
