In synthetic tests, the single-core and multi-core performance is significantly lower than that of the comparison model. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 is specialized in decoding videos, while the gaming performance remains strongly limited due to the low raw power and PCIe 2.0 connection.

A key aspect is the low Thermal Design Power of 10 watts, which enables passive cooling. The Intel Celeron J4105 is a cost-effective solution for areas of application where energy efficiency is more important than computing capacity. For productive work, the Intel Core i3-8100 is preferable.
