Intel Celeron J4105 vs Intel Celeron J4125

The Intel Celeron J4105 and Intel Celeron J4125 are processors based on the Intel Gemini Lake architecture, designed for energy-efficient desktop systems like mini-PCs or NAS.

Both are manufactured using the 14 nm process and feature four cores, four threads, and 4 MB of L3 cache. They use PCIe 2.0 and achieve a maximum memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s. In terms of performance, the Intel Celeron J4125 outperforms the Intel Celeron J4105 by more than 10 percent in the single-core segment of Cinebench R23.

In Geekbench 6, the J4125 also shows noticeably better single-core and multi-core performance. While the Intel Celeron J4105 offers solid basic performance for everyday tasks, the J4125 provides a small advantage in processing speed due to slightly higher clock frequencies. Both CPUs are equipped with Intel UHD Graphics 600, which is only suitable for basic display output and video playback.

Their performance is insufficient for demanding games; only very light titles are playable at the lowest settings. Their low power consumption makes them ideal for passively cooled systems and continuous operation in HTPCs or NAS devices. The price-performance ratio of both is comparable in the lower segment.

While the Intel Celeron J4125 offers slightly higher performance, the price difference is often minimal. For a strict budget, the Intel Celeron J4105 is a good choice. If a slightly more responsive experience is desired and the extra cost is low, the Intel Celeron J4125 offers a small added value.
