The Intel Celeron J1900 (Bay Trail) and the Intel Celeron J3455 (Apollo Lake) are energy-efficient processors for cost-effective desktop systems.

The J1900 is intended for basic tasks, while the J3455, as an advancement, offers more performance for HTPCs or mini-PCs. The J1900 is manufactured using a 22 nm process, and the J3455 using the more advanced 14 nm process. Both have four cores, four threads, 2 MB L3 cache, and PCIe 2.0. The J3455 significantly outperforms the J1900 in single-core and multi-core performance, enabling more responsive system usage.

Both are unsuitable for demanding games. The J1900 integrates Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail GT1), while the J3455 integrates the improved Intel HD Graphics 500 for simple multimedia tasks. The memory bandwidth is 21 GB/s (J1900) and 30 GB/s (J3455) respectively. Both models are characterized by very low power consumption and low TDP, ideal for fanless systems.

As older generations, they are primarily available used. The J3455 offers a better price-performance ratio. For minimal requirements, the J1900 is a cheap solution. The J3455 is the superior choice for smoother everyday use and better multimedia playback with low power consumption.
