Its PCIe 4.0 support offers advantages over the Intel Core i7-2600's PCIe 2.0 for graphics cards and NVMe storage. The 7 nm manufacturing process of the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 leads to more efficient power consumption and lower heat generation. The Intel Core i7-2600, with its 32 nm process, requires more energy.

On the used market, the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 offers a better price/performance ratio and a more current platform. The Intel Core i7-2600 is extremely cheap, but its platform does not offer modern interfaces. In summary, the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 offers higher performance, more modern features, and efficiency, ideal for gaming and productivity.

The Intel Core i7-2600 is only recommended for extremely budget-oriented systems or as an upgrade for an existing LGA1155 platform where performance requirements are low.
