Computing performance in common benchmarks shows that it is designed for simple office tasks and internet browsing. Since the differences in measurement results compared to the Intel Atom x5-Z8300 in single-core and multi-core performance are less than ten percent, no noticeable difference in working speed can be detected in everyday use.

The integrated Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail GT1) limits gaming use to absolute basic titles or older software. Thanks to the very low thermal design power, the system usually operates with passive cooling. The Intel Atom Z3735F is often used in inexpensive used devices for simple media playback.

The Intel Atom x5-Z8300 belongs to the Cherry Trail architecture and targets compact laptops as well as tablets. It uses the more modern 14-nanometer process, which enables improved efficiency compared to the predecessor model. With four cores and four threads as well as a Level 3 cache of 2 MB, it offers a practical basis for mobile applications.

In relevant benchmarks, it achieves results that are almost identical to the Intel Atom Z3735F, which is why CPU performance is classified as equal. The Intel HD Graphics 400 benefits from slightly higher memory bandwidth, which however hardly raises gaming performance above the level of the simplest applications.

Power consumption remains minimal, which favors use in fanless cases. This processor is a functional choice for silent systems that only need to fulfill basic functions.
