The Intel Atom E3825 was developed as part of the Bay Trail platform for embedded systems and compact computers.

Manufactured using the 22 nm process, this processor features two cores and two threads as well as an L3 cache of 1 MB. In computational operations, the Intel Atom E3825 shows significantly higher efficiency than the smaller model, which is noticeable in both single-core performance and parallel data processing.

The integrated Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail GT1) provides basic graphical functions but is not designed for demanding games. The low memory bandwidth of 9 GB/s additionally limits graphical performance. Nevertheless, this chip achieves more stable results in gaming scenarios due to the second core compared to the single-core variant.

With low thermal power dissipation, the chip is predestined for fanless designs. The Intel Atom E3825 remains a practical solution for simple control tasks or basic office applications. The Intel Atom E3815 is also based on the Bay Trail architecture and utilizes Intel's 22 nm manufacturing process.

Unlike its partner model, the Intel Atom E3815 has only one core and one thread with the same size L3 cache, which severely limits the simultaneous processing of various processes. In terms of single-core performance, it lags noticeably behind the Intel Atom E3825. The integrated Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail GT1) shares the narrow resources with the system, making gaming scenarios almost completely impossible, as even the simplest titles overwhelm the hardware.

The focus here is primarily on minimal energy consumption and thermal stability in specialized industrial environments. Due to its very simple configuration, the price-performance ratio is only justifiable in niche markets. For users choosing between these two models, the Intel Atom E3815 offers the absolute basic setup for systems that permanently only have to handle a very low computing load.
