The Apple A14 Bionic is an advanced mobile processor designed for premium smartphones and tablets, offering balanced performance.

It is manufactured using the 5 nm process and features a 6-core CPU (two high-performance, four high-efficiency cores) with the architectural codenames Firestorm and Icestorm, as well as a 4-core GPU. It has 12 MB of L2 cache and 16 MB of L3 cache, with a maximum memory bandwidth of 34 GB/s. In CPU benchmarks, the Apple A14 Bionic delivers very good performance for everyday applications and provides a solid foundation for more demanding tasks.

Its energy efficiency is a core feature of the 5 nm manufacturing process. The Apple A15 Bionic (4-GPU) is its successor, also optimized for high-end mobile devices, with a focus on improved computing and graphics performance.

Manufactured using the same 5 nm process, it integrates a 6-core CPU with architectural improvements and a 4-core GPU. The A15 Bionic features a larger L2 cache of 16 MB and a doubled L3 cache of 32 MB, while the maximum memory bandwidth also remains 34 GB/s. In all relevant CPU benchmarks, the Apple A15 Bionic (4-GPU) surpasses its predecessor by more than 10 percent in both single-core and multi-core applications.

This leads to significantly better performance in gaming scenarios and compute-intensive tasks. Despite the performance increase, energy efficiency remains high due to architectural optimizations.
