The
MediaTek MT6595 represented an important step for mobile processors in its era. It was known for its eight-core configuration, which laid the foundation for smooth multitasking and more complex applications. We were able to observe how this significantly improved the user experience on many smartphones.
Based on the
Cortex-A9 architecture, the chip offered balanced performance for everyday use. Manufactured using the 28nm process, the design enabled a good balance between energy efficiency and the necessary processing power for a mobile device. Particularly noteworthy was the integrated graphics unit, a PowerVR G6200.
This ensured that games and high-resolution videos were displayed smoothly on the devices. With a 2 MB L2 cache and a memory bandwidth of 15 GB/s, the
MediaTek MT6595 could efficiently process data streams. It made a significant contribution to expanding the capabilities of an entire generation of smartphones.
It was a solid choice for manufacturers who wanted to launch powerful and versatile devices on the market at that time.
