The
MediaTek Helio P30 was once a solid choice for many smartphones. Manufactured in the
16 nm process, it offered a good balance between performance and efficiency. Its eight
Cortex-A53 cores ensured reliable computing power. This was beneficial for everyday tasks and the battery life of the devices.
The integrated ARM Mali-G71 MP2 graphics supported multimedia applications very reliably. It also enabled smooth playback of content and light games on the screen. Even though this chip is no longer at the absolute top, it still does its job. We found how reliably this processor worked over the years.
A maximum memory bandwidth of 13 GB/s supported the system in its requirements. For mobile devices of its generation, this was quite appropriate and sufficiently sized. The
MediaTek Helio P30 thus offered a balanced overall solution for mobile use. Especially the energy efficiency was a remarkable feature of this chip.
It was developed for broad usability, less for peak performance. This makes it a long-lasting companion in many older devices.
- Efficient computing power thanks to Cortex-A53 architecture
- Reliable support for everyday applications
- Integrated graphics for multimedia and simple games
- Good energy efficiency for mobile devices
