The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, introduced in 2020 by Qualcomm, is a powerful processor for high-end smartphones.

It is based on the Kryo 680 architecture and is manufactured using a 5 nm fabrication process, which was leading at the time. With 1 MB of Level 2 Cache and 8 MB of Level 3 Cache, it integrates a Qualcomm Adreno 660 graphics unit. The maximum memory bandwidth is 51 GB/s. Although it offers solid overall performance for demanding applications, the Google Tensor G4 shows a superiority of over 10 percent in single-core and multi-core performance tests.

The Google Tensor G4, manufactured by ARM for Google Pixel smartphones, uses a G4 architecture and a more advanced 4 nm fabrication process. It features the powerful ARM Immortalis-G715 MP10 graphics unit; no Level 2 or Level 3 cache sizes are detailed for this processor. The maximum memory bandwidth is also 51 GB/s.

In gaming scenarios, the Tensor G4 is expected to offer superior performance thanks to its newer GPU. The Tensor G4's finer 4 nm process also contributes to better energy efficiency and lower heat generation. Since both SoCs are firmly integrated into end devices, retail prices for the processors are not available, making a direct price-performance ratio impossible to determine.
