Apple A18 Pro vs Apple A19

The Apple A18 Pro is an advanced processor from Apple, designed for demanding mobile devices and aimed at users who expect high performance in areas such as AI applications, gaming, and demanding multitasking.

It is manufactured using the modern 3nm process with the Donan architecture. The chip features an integrated graphics unit with 6 GPU cores, a 20 MB Level-2 cache, and a 24 MB Level-3 cache, which supports fast data availability. Its single-core and multi-core performance is high, delivering robust performance for tasks that benefit from individual processor threads, as well as when handling simultaneous tasks.

The 6 GPU cores and a memory bandwidth of 60 GB/s enable smooth rendering in games. As an integral part of Apple devices, it is not sold separately, which means a direct price-performance evaluation is not applicable. The Apple A19 is the successor to the Apple A18 Pro, also developed by Apple for mobile devices.

It aims to further increase performance in all areas and enable more efficient processing. It is also manufactured using the 3nm process. The integrated graphics unit includes 5 GPU cores and a 6 MB Level-2 cache, but it foregoes a Level-3 cache. The Apple A19 offers slightly improved computing performance for both single-core and multi-core tasks compared to the Apple A18 Pro.

This increase indicates a refined architecture without representing a significant leap in performance. Despite fewer GPU cores, it benefits from a higher maximum memory bandwidth of 68 GB/s, which can be advantageous in data-intensive gaming scenarios. Like the Apple A18 Pro, the Apple A19 is exclusively built into Apple products.
