The Apple A13 Bionic was introduced in late 2019 and is intended for older Apple smartphones and tablets.

The Google Tensor G3 came onto the market in late 2023 and is designed for Google's Pixel smartphones, with a focus on integrated AI performance.

The A13 Bionic (7 nm) uses Apple's own high-performance and efficiency cores. The Tensor G3 (4 nm) uses the more advanced ARM G3 architecture for peak performance and energy efficiency. Single-core performance is comparable. However, the Tensor G3 significantly (more than 10 percent) outperforms the A13 Bionic in multi-core performance, making it more powerful for parallel tasks.

The Tensor G3 is superior in games with its ARM Immortalis-G715 MP10 graphics. The smaller manufacturing process and G3 architecture deliver higher graphics performance and better frame rates. The Tensor G3 (4 nm) shows improved energy efficiency compared to the A13 Bionic (7 nm), enabling higher performance with potentially lower consumption.

Both are integrated into devices. The A13 Bionic is found in more affordable Apple models. The Tensor G3 is built into newer, higher-priced Google Pixel devices. A13 Bionic: Mature performance for everyday tasks in more affordable devices. Tensor G3: Superior multi-core and graphics performance, more energy-efficient, ideal for demanding AI functions.
