The Apple A12X Bionic and Apple A12Z Bionic are System-on-a-Chips (SoCs) developed for Apple's iPad Pro models.

Both are based on the A12 architecture and offer strong performance for mobile applications. They are manufactured by Apple using a 7nm process. Both processors are manufactured using an energy-efficient 7nm process. They use an identical CPU architecture with a combination of high-performance and energy-efficient cores.

Both feature 8 MB of Level 2 Cache and a maximum memory bandwidth of 68 GB/s. In terms of CPU performance, the Apple A12Z Bionic and Apple A12X Bionic are nearly identical, with marginal differences in benchmarks. The main difference lies in graphics performance: the Apple A12X Bionic integrates a 7-core Apple A12X graphics unit, while the Apple A12Z Bionic has a more powerful 8-core Apple A12Z graphics unit.

This additional GPU core makes the Apple A12Z Bionic more advantageous for graphics-intensive tasks and games. Both mobile processors are designed for high energy efficiency and passively cooled systems. The additional GPU core of the Apple A12Z Bionic may lead to a minimally higher peak power consumption.

Since the SoCs are tightly integrated into iPad Pro devices, separate market prices or a direct assessment of the price-performance ratio as individual components are not relevant.
