Geekbench 6 is a benchmark for modern computers, notebooks and smartphones. What is new is an optimized utilization of newer CPU architectures, e.g. based on the big.LITTLE concept and combining CPU cores of different sizes. The single-core benchmark only evaluates the performance of the fastest CPU core, the number of CPU cores in a processor is irrelevant here.

Description of the processor

The Intel Core i5-13500T is a processor from the Core i5 series from Intel, which was launched in the first quarter of 2023. It is based on the Alder Lake S Refresh architecture and is manufactured with a structure width of 10 nanometers. The Intel Core i5-13500T has a 11.50 megabyte level 2 cache and the level 3 cache is 24.00 megabytes. This is a desktop processor that requires a mainboard with the LGA 1700 socket and both Linux and Windows (10 + 11) are supported as operating systems.

The Intel Core i5-13500T has 14 cores built in a hybrid big.LITTLE core architecture. In detail, 6 performance cores, named Raptor Cove, and 8 efficiency cores, named Gracemont, are used here. The performance cores clock at 1.60 gigahertz and in turbo mode they can increase the clock to up to 4.60 gigahertz. The Gracemont cores clock at 1.20 gigahertz and here the maximum turbo clock is 3.20 gigahertz. Hyperthreading technology is only supported by the performance cores, so the processor has a total of 14 physical cores and 20 computing threads at its disposal.

The Intel UHD Graphics 770, which was released in the fourth quarter of 2021, is used as the internal graphics unit. The iGPU clocks at 300 megahertz and the maximum dynamic clock is 1.55 gigahertz. It has 32 execution units with 256 shader units and achieves an FP32 processing power of 794 GigaFLOPS (single precision). Like the processor, this graphics unit is also manufactured using the 10-nanometer process and comes from the 11th generation of Intels iGPUs. The internal graphics unit is able to use up to 64 gigabytes of the RAM installed in the system.

The Intel Core i5-13500T itself has 2 memory channels, with which it is able to control a maximum of 128 gigabytes of DDR4-3200 or DDR5-4800 RAM.
