Description of the processor

The Intel Core i7-11390H is a processor from the eleventh generation of Intels Core i7 family and was released in the second quarter of 2021. It is manufactured with a structure width of 10 nanometers, in a monolithic chip design and is based on Intels Tiger Lake H architecture. The Intel Core i7-11390H belongs to the mobile segment of Intels processor program and is therefore mainly used in laptops. The size of the processors level 2 cache is 5.00 megabytes and the level 3 cache is 12.00 megabytes.

The processor is equipped with 4 identical processor cores. These four cores support hyperthreading technology, which turns the 4 physical cores into up to 8 computing threads if necessary. The base clock frequency of the processor is 3.40 gigahertz and the maximum turbo clock is 5.00 gigahertz. Like all mobile Intel processors, the Intel Core i7-11390H cannot be overclocked.

The Intel Iris Xe Graphics 96 of the Tiger Lake architecture is integrated into the Intel Core i7-11390H as the internal graphics unit. This iGPU is also manufactured in a structure width of 10 nanometers and consists of 96 execution units with 96 shader units. The base clock of the graphics unit is 400 megahertz and the maximum dynamic clock, also known as turbo clock, is 1.40 gigahertz. This means that the graphics unit achieves an FP32, with single precision, of 2147 GigaFLOPS. The Intel Iris Graphics was installed in a CPU for the first time in the third quarter of 2020 and is therefore slightly older than the processor itself. The graphics unit can use up to 32 gigabytes of the systems built-in RAM as graphics memory.

The Intel Core i7-11390H can be operated with up to 64 gigabytes of LPDDR4X-4266 or DDR4-3200 RAM via its 2 memory channels.
