The Intel Celeron 2970M was designed as a reliable processor for everyday tasks. It comes from the Haswell U architecture, manufactured in a 22 nm process. This efficient manufacturing enabled remarkably good energy efficiency at the time. It proved to be particularly advantageous for mobile devices such as notebooks and small systems.

The processor offers solid performance for typical everyday applications. These include surfing the Internet or editing text documents. It always provided reliable performance for such tasks. Another advantage of this processor is its integrated graphics unit. The Intel HD Graphics (Haswell GT1) handles the image output.

It is sufficient for simple multimedia applications or the presentation of presentations. With 2 MB Level 3 Cache, fast data processing is guaranteed. The maximum memory bandwidth of 26 GB/s supported system performance in the usage scenarios of the time. The Intel Celeron 2970M was an extremely cost-effective solution.
