The AMD A10-6800K was once a remarkable option for budget-conscious PC systems. This processor is based on the Piledriver architecture. It was developed as an Accelerated Processing Unit, or APU for short. Its integrated graphics, the AMD Radeon HD 8670D, delivered decent graphics performance at the time.

For everyday tasks or light games, this was perfectly adequate. A particularly positive feature is the unlocked multiplier of the K model. This allowed experienced users to easily overclock. This allowed you to increase the processing power yourself a little. The A10-6800K was created in a 32 nm manufacturing process.

It has 4 MB of Level 3 cache. The maximum memory bandwidth is 34 GB per second. Today, of course, this processor is no longer one of the fastest of its kind. Nevertheless, it is still useful in some older systems. Its performance is sufficient for multimedia playback or basic office work. It offered a good solution if you wanted to build a system with a usable graphics unit.

A separate graphics card was not absolutely necessary then.
