The processor offers four cores and eight threads. In benchmarks, this model shows stable performance, but lags significantly behind the comparison partner in single-core and multi-core performance. In games, the architecture and the memory bandwidth of 38 GB/s limit the frame rates. With a TDP of 65 watts and the Intel HD Graphics 630, the energy efficiency is designed for basic tasks.

Since it supports PCIe 3.0, the connection of components is limited. Its strengths lie in its compatibility with corresponding platforms. A recommendation primarily applies to the maintenance of existing systems without a motherboard change. The Intel Core i3-14100 is a model for the entry-level sector and efficient workstations.

It uses the Raptor Lake S Refresh architecture and is produced in the 10 nm process. It also features four cores and eight threads, but uses 5 MB of L2 cache and 12 MB of L3 cache. In benchmarks, the Intel Core i3-14100 outperforms the Intel Core i7-7700 in single-core and multi-core performance by more than ten percent.

This increased performance ensures higher frame rates in games, supported by PCIe 5.0 and a memory bandwidth of 77 GB/s. The TDP is 60 watts, which enables high efficiency. With the Intel UHD Graphics 730, it offers a functional graphics unit. Due to its technical features, the Intel Core i3-14100 offers a balanced relationship between price and performance for desktop systems.
