Monero Hashrate kH/s

The crypto currency Monero has been using the RandomX algorithm since November 2019. This PoW (proof of work) algorithm can only efficiently be calculated using a processor (CPU) or a graphics card (GPU). The CryptoNight algorithm was used for Monero until November 2019, but it could be calculated using ASICs. RandomX benefits from a high number of CPU cores, cache and a fast connection of the memory via as many memory channels as possible. Tested with XMRig v6.x under the operation system HiveOS.

To trade Monero you can register with the crypto broker Kraken.com. We've been customers there for a few years now and have been very satisfied so far.

V-Ray CPU-Render Benchmark

V-Ray is a 3D rendering software from the manufacturer Chaos for designers and artists. Unlike many other render engines, V-Ray is capable of so-called hybrid rendering, in which the CPU and GPU work together at the same time.

However, the CPU benchmark we used (CPU Render Mode) only uses the system's processor. The working memory used plays a major role in the V-Ray benchmark. For our benchmarks we use the fastest RAM standard approved by the manufacturer (without overclocking).

Due to the high compatibility of V-Ray (including Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Unreal Engine and Blender), it is a frequently used software. With V-Ray, for example, photorealistic images can be rendered that laypeople cannot distinguish from normal photos.

VS Description of the processor

The Intel Core i7-11700K is the direct successor to the Intel Core i7-10700K. Both desktop processors have 8 CPU cores and support Intel's Hyper-Threading Technology. This enables the processors to process up to 16 CPU threads at the same time.

While the Intel Core i7-10700K is based on Intel's Comet Lake architecture, the Intel Core i7-11700K is based on Intel's newer Rocket Lake architecture. This has an approx. 15 to 20 percent higher raw output per cycle. However, this architecture was actually intended for production in 10 nm and had to be subsequently ported by Intel to the currently used 14 nm production. As a result, the new architecture loses some performance in the form of lower clock frequencies.

Compared to the previous generation, Intel was able to increase the overall performance by 10 to 15 percent. Since both processors are still manufactured in 14 nm, they are not as efficient in terms of energy consumption as AMD's current Zen 3 processors. AMD has these manufactured in 7 nm at TSMC. Intel's processors are specified with a TDP of 125 watts, while e.g. the AMD Ryzen7 5800X (8 cores, 16 threads) is specified with a TDP of 105 watts.

Both the Intel Core i7-11700K and the Intel Core i7-10700K support 128 GB DDR4 memory. Rocket Lake is officially advertised with the support of DDR4-3200, while Intel still specifies DDR4-2933 as the maximum memory clock for the Intel Core i7-10700K. However, both processors can also be equipped with faster memory via manual overclocking of the main memory. Intel's XMP profiles are helpful here for beginners, as they place the overclocking of the RAM in the hands of the manufacturer and thus usually manage the overclocking without problems with previously defined parameters.
