The theoretical computing performance of the internal graphics unit of the processor with simple accuracy (32 bit) in GFLOPS. GFLOPS indicates how many billion floating point operations the iGPU can perform per second.
In the Blender Benchmark 3.1, the scenes "monster", "junkshop" and "classroom" are rendered and the time required by the system is measured. In our benchmark we test the CPU and not the graphics card. Blender 3.1 was presented as a standalone version in March 2022.
Some of the CPUs listed below have been benchmarked by CPU-monkey. However the majority of CPUs have not been tested and the results have been estimated by a CPU-monkey’s secret proprietary formula. As such they do not accurately reflect the actual Passmark CPU mark values and are not endorsed by PassMark Software Pty Ltd.
Here, the Intel Core i3-1005G1 and the AMD Ryzen 3 3250U 2 processors from the field of mobile devices, i.e. laptops, are compared.
Both processors are dual-core processors that support hyperthreading and are equipped with an internal graphics unit.
The base clock frequency of the Intel Core i3-1005G1 is 1.20 gigahertz, which increases to up to 3.40 gigahertz in turbo mode. The base clock frequency of the AMD Ryzen 3 3250U is 2.60 gigahertz and here the maximum turbo clock is up to 3.50 gigahertz. In the benchmarks, the performance of the Intel processor is around 20% ahead of the comparison processor from Intel.
The Intel UHD Graphics (generation Ice Lake G1) is used in the Intel Core i3-1005G1. This iGPU has 64 execution and 512 shader units. Furthermore, the graphics unit clocks at up to 0.90 gigahertz in turbo mode and offers the option of supplying up to 3 monitors with one image. The AMD Ryzen 3 3250U uses an AMD Radeon Vega 3 Graphics, which has 3 execution units and 192 shader units. The clock rate of this iGPU is 1.00 gigahertz and also allows up to 3 monitors to be operated in parallel.
The Intel Core i3-1005G1, manufactured using the 10 nanometer process, is based on the Ice Lake U architecture and supports DDR4-3200 or LPDDR4-3733 RAM. The AMD Ryzen 3 3250U is manufactured in the 14 nanometer process based on the Dali (Zen +) architecture and supports DDR4-2400 type RAM via its 2 available memory channels.
Both processors have an integrated TDP of 15 watts and PCI Express version 3. The Intel Core i3-1005G1 has 16 PCIe lines, whereas the AMD Ryzen 3 3250U has to make do with 8 lines.
