V-Ray CPU-Render Benchmark

V-Ray is a 3D rendering software from the manufacturer Chaos for designers and artists. Unlike many other render engines, V-Ray is capable of so-called hybrid rendering, in which the CPU and GPU work together at the same time.

However, the CPU benchmark we used (CPU Render Mode) only uses the system's processor. The working memory used plays a major role in the V-Ray benchmark. For our benchmarks we use the fastest RAM standard approved by the manufacturer (without overclocking).

Due to the high compatibility of V-Ray (including Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Unreal Engine and Blender), it is a frequently used software. With V-Ray, for example, photorealistic images can be rendered that laypeople cannot distinguish from normal photos.

News and articles for the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G and the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

VS Description of the processor

Is it worth switching from the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G to the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G or should I rather buy the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G on offer or rather go for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G. These could be 2 questions you ask yourself when you call up this comparison.

The AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G comes from the third generation of Ryzen 5 processors, is based on the Renoir architecture (Zen 2) and is manufactured using the 7-nanometer process. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600G is a new generation, so it comes from the 4th Ryzen generation. It is also manufactured using the 7-nanometer process, but is based on the improved Cezanne architecture (Zen 3).

Both processors have 6 physical cores and support Hyperthreading technology, which means that 12 threads are available to both processors. The AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G has a slightly lower basic clock frequency of 3.70 gigahertz (AMD Ryzen 5 5600G = 3.90 gigahertz) and the maximum turbo clock of 4.30 gigahertz is also 0.10 gigahertz lower than the one generation newer comparison processor .

The AMD Radeon Graphics 7, the identical internal graphics unit, is used in both processors. This comes from the ninth generation of AMD's internal graphics units. Like the CPUs, it is manufactured using the 7-nanometer process and clocks at 1.90 gigahertz. With the 7 execution units and the 448 shader units, the graphics unit achieves an FP32 computing power (single precision) of 1.7 TerraFLOPS.

Both processors have 2 memory channels and support the operation of up to 64 gigabytes of DDR4-3200 RAM. In contrast to the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G also supports the operation of ECC memory.

The newer AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with 24 PCI-Express version 3.0 lines has twice as many as the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G, which only has 12 PCIe lines.
