Blender 2.81 (bmw27)

Blender is a free 3D graphics software for rendering (creating) 3D bodies, which can also be textured and animated in the software. The Blender benchmark creates predefined scenes and measures the time (s) required for the entire scene. The shorter the time required, the better. We selected bmw27 as the benchmark scene.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700x? This comparison is very common with us because the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is actually fast enough with its 6-corner (12 threads) for the vast majority of applications. Even though its maximum euppen clock frequency with 4.2 GHz behind the AMD Ryzen 7 3700x is 4.4 GHz, the performance difference here only scarce 5 percent is, which is measurable but no longer noticeable.

Only in applications that can respond more cores to the AMD Ryzen 7 3700x with its 8 cores (16 threads) then clearly distending it. In the end, there is a performance plan of about 25 percent on the paper. In most PC games, both processors are very close to each other and so the faster AMD Ryzen 7 3700x is only suitable for users who can also use us from the additional nuclei / threads.

In the feature set, both processors are completely identical. Both support up to 128 GB of work memory up to the Type DDR4-3200 in up to two memory channels (dual channel). The new PCIe 4.0 standard with 20 CPU lines is also supported by both processors alike. PCIe 4.0 dedicated graphics cards and M.2 SSDs can be attached to the system very quickly. With M.2 SSDs, data rates of 7.5 GB per second are possible, while with PCIe 3.0 at half.

Both processors are equipped with a free multiplier and can be very easily overclocked. This requires good air cooling. In the overclocking, the clock frequencies of the processors are increased, whereby the energy absorption increases. This also increases the waste heat that produces a CPU. Although AMD indicates the TDP in both processors with (for desktop processors) small 65 watts, we recommend a cooling solution that can carry 150 or more watts of heat.
